BE ATTUNE WITH THE HARMONY OF LIFE...

A LITTLE MUSIC INSPIRATION TO SPICE UP YOUR DAY....

Life is energy vibrating at different frequencies. We often say, that the universe is a Uni-verse... One song or vibration that plays throughout existence and gives us life. When we are in tune with this very tone, it means we are in harmony with life. Music is a way we can tap into that power. This is the reason why we feel music with our whole being. It moves us, stimulates our imagination, opens emotions, comforts a bleeding heart and heals our pains. Music is infinite in nature, especially in relation to what it stands to represent. It can move past language and break cultural barriers. It lives on a primal level, one that we all can connect with.

SO CONNECT WITH THE HARMONY OF LIFE. Be attune with the 'UNI-VERSE' of music.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL...Wishing you God's Grace in your activities for what's left of the year.

MY NIGERIAN GOSPEL MUSIC

Gospel music is a music genre in CHRISTIAN MUSIC. This Genre of Music varies in terms of style of performance, meaning or significance, creativity and definition as regards culture and social context. Gospel music is composed and performed for many purposes, such as aesthetic pleasure, religious or ceremonial purposes as well as entertainment product for commercial purposes.

In general, Gospel Music is characterized by dominant vocals, making use of Lyrics of a Christian nature. According to Omibiyi Obiduke, pg.6, (2004), Gospel music originally was used in the church and was performed at special festivals such as Harvest, Thanksgiving, and so forth.  However, with the electronic technology and the need for youths to have the type of music that caters for their social interest, gospel music was taken out of the confines of the church. At some point in history, people collected Nigerian folk songs and arranged them for the choral stage and even modified them and used the tunes for worship.  That was the trend that really developed into what we call the gospel music of Nigeria of today... (Okafor, 2002:6).

Ministrations rendered by invited talented individuals, choirs and independent church musical groups on Radio ELWA, Igbaja, which was broadcast from Monrovia, Liberia as from the 1950s also contributed to the growth of Gospel Music in Nigeria. The choir of Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) featured prominently in this development.
Having said that, Nigerian Gospel Music has seen a proliferation since then, in terms of style, Content, Genre, Quality and form of beat or sound used, alongside all the elements of good Music, as it also takes into consideration, important factors such as culture, and target audience. Today, there are many Gospel Music Artistes in Nigeria, all of whom are Unique in their various styles and Genres of Music.

"PULLING THROUGH" IN TODAY'S WORLD...

Bible Mentioned that perilous times will come in the last days. Recently, with lots of stories about the chaos, wars, terrorism, natural and man-made disasters, injustice, etc, that flood the media reports, the only place we can find peace and solace is in our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. But no matter what we see or go through in life, Bible tells us in the book of ROMANS CHAPTER 8 verse 37, that 'we are more than conquerors through Christ who has loved us". Therefore, with these few words below, I encourage us all to keep up with the Faith and Trust we have in Christ, for in due time we shall be rewarded... Stay blessed y'all...

1st John chapter 2 verse 15-17, 24-27, 28-29.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

And now, little children, abide in Him, that whenHe appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

LUIS SUAREZ

Of course everyone has his or her 5 minutes of madness, during which you shutdown completely, then do things you'd never imagine you would do and by the time you reboot your self-system, the deed has been done. This is not in any way, to justify the actions of Luis  Suarez in the field against his opponents. It was very wrong to react in that manner, when we know its only a game of sports. I think that there's a light at the end of every tunnel. Please lets try to see the good side of him." A moment of weakness", I'd call it, but there's a lot of good stuff he does with his talent... "FOOTBALL"

Dear FIFA.. "a little mercy on Suarez", please... cheers

SINGING

Singing is the act of producing Musical sounds with the voice, and augments regular speech by the use of both tonality and Rhythm. One who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singing is often done in a group of other musicians, such as in a choir of singers with different voice ranges, or in an ensemble with instrumentalists, such as a rock group or baroque ensemble

The sound of each individual's singing voice is entirely unique not only because of the actual shape and size of an individual's vocal chord but also due to the size and shape of the rest of that person's body. Humans have vocal folds which can loosen, tighten, or change their thickness and over which breath can be transferred at varying pressures. The shape of the chest and neck, the position of the tongue, and the tightness of otherwise unrelated muscles can be altered. Any one of these actions results in a change in pitch, volume (loudness), timbre, or tone of the sound produced. Sound also resonates within different parts of the body and an individual's size and bone structure can affect the sound produced by an individual.
Singers can also learn to project sound in certain ways so that it resonates better within their vocal tract. This is known as vocal resonation. Learning how to sing well takes time and discipline and will definitely require your patience. What you need to know when you’re on your way to learn how to sing is that you need to learn the right techniques first and foremost. Investing in a good vocal training program like the Singing Success program is a great way to get started using proper technique.

Here are some steps you should adopt...
1.  Avoid damaging your vocal chords by using the air from your diaphragm. This method should be used when you speak and sing.
2.  Know that your voice should come from your mouth and teeth. Don't use your throat, as you may strain it.
3. Make sure you are relaxed when you are singing. If you are tense, it will show in your voice.
4. Keep tension out of your face and it will stay out of your voice.
5. Make sure you enunciate your each and every word when you are singing. Pronounce your lyrics properly so that your audience can make meaning out of the song you are singing.
6. Do not go overboard enunciating for a better and clearer sound.

MUSIC AND MOOD SWINGS

THE KIND OF MUSIC YOU LISTEN TO, AFFECTS YOUR MOOD, POSITIVELY OR NEGATIVELY!

Hey did you know that Listening to upbeat songs makes you feel happier, but only if you're actively trying to improve your mood
Seeking out happiness can improve health, income and relationship satisfaction too. Are you Feeling sad or angry? If the upbeat music is on in the background, or you're not consciously aware that you're listening to it to boost your mood, the songs have no affect on how you feel. when people think to themselves that listening to upbeat music will make them happy before listening to the songs, the songs boost their mood. But if people just listen to upbeat songs, without consciously aware that they are listening to them in a bid to get happier, the songs themselves have no affect.

Upbeats, rhythms, melodies, tones, and beats all make up a musical composition. Is the song you are listening too slow, fast, a ballad, a rock song, sad, happy or romantic? Music is a form of expression, and artists often times, express their feelings through songs. They write songs when they are happy, sad, angry, and even when they are in love. Listening to the different types of songs can affect your mood.

If you are sad, you should listen to happy upbeat music to turn your mood around. If you are angry and need an outlet to release your feelings, you can listen to rock music with fast tempos and loud guitar playing. You can set the mood for a romantic evening with the one you love by playing soft ballads or love songs. Music can be a distraction to take your mind off from pressing issues or simply to entertain. Music can set the tone for your day or night. When you wake up in the morning, listen to some songs that have an upbeat to get your day going. It can put you in a better mood by listening to fun, happy music. Because music affects your mood, if you were to listen to slow songs in the mornings you might find it harder to wake up or be motivated to start the day. At night, when you are winding down or have had a stressful day at work or school, listen to music that will calm you. Slower beats, acoustic, or classical music can be very calming.

So from now on, always Choose the right music that will affect whatever mood you want to be in.
See you next time
